What are regions of the body labeled as extraspinal? Many are confused and often bill inappropriately for extraspinal CMT services. We frequently find providers overbilling the 98943 when extraspinal adjustments are part of their philosophy and protocol. Likewise, we find some providers are not billing 98943 when the documentation supports the service. Let’s learn when and where to use 98943 when adjusting areas outside of the spine.
