Free Basic CA Training – from KMC University
Time is precious within a busy clinic and taking time to train a new CA is sometimes an impossible, but critical task. The lack of proper training and indoctrination of CAs is one of the most serious downfalls within the chiropractic profession. This program focuses on indoctrinating a new chiropractic assistant although it can serve as refresher course for established CAs. The course covers everything a CA would need to know to hit the ground running as it focuses on the most common areas necessary for chiropractic assistants. In as little as three days the workforce member will have a basic understanding of:
- History of chiropractic
- Common chiropractic terminology; to include anatomy, billing and coding
- The importance of ethics and boundaries
- Compliance including HIPAA (with training log sign off)
- Basic office skills; to include phone etiquette and patient scheduling
- Insurance reimbursement; to include commercial, personal injury, Workers Comp, Medicare and Medicaid
- An introduction to coding and documentation
Each lesson is presented in an easy to follow manner, designed for the CA to work through independently. A Self Assessment is included with each lesson so the learner can test their knowledge. We encourage the Trainer to review the Trainee’s Assessment after each module. This is followed up by a final test, upon completion of the entire course. The CA will then receive their certificate from KMC University.
